  This place was a Liquor Depot for years before Sobeys took over - Sobeys has a much better selection, but the store is still quite small. They easily could have filled the old Shoppers space next door!
  
  Years ago, I heard from a former employee of that Shoppers that Safeway wanted to redevelop that space so perhaps it will expand in the future?

  Interesting crowd. Some decent specials but not a great choice of wine and beer.

  Staff are really rude and disrespectful.
  I bought a bottle of wine and saw mold on the package, so I opened the package and realized that it was leaking. So I went to the store hoping to get another one. The staff checked the wine on the shelf one after one and then took one of them. She showed me the box of the wine and said "See? There is no mold." But I saw her using her finger to cover the mold stain so I grab the box and point at the stain "There is mold here." and then she was really pissed off and said "Then can you just take the wine without the box?" I was like "but it has mold which means it is also leaking" And she said very rudely "Then I can't doing anything. I already refund you. You either wait for the new shipment or get another brand."
  This is the worst experience I ever had in a store in Canada.

  This place has an unpleasant smell as soon as you walk in the door. It has some good deals here and there, but the good beer seems to always be sold out.

  Store is small, but it's definitely nice to be able to stop in and grab an enjoyable hot lunch!

  Love this little corner grocery store perfect for grabbing fresh groceries while family is in the hospital.
